“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
– 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 (NIV)
Destiny Bible Institute (DBI), formerly named Bethel Bible Institute and New Destiny Bible School was established in 1981 by Apostle Thomas W. Weeks, Sr. in Wilmington, Delaware. Our purpose is to provide personal and spiritual enrichment and unity among believers through our classes. The Destiny Bible Institute has an open door policy, which makes it possible for Bible students from all denominations to enhance their learning and develop their skill. The institute is designed to educate and equip individuals to effectively and systematically learn, and then teach the Word of God to others.
DBI is built on the foundation of quality that one would expect from an accredited institution. The Biblical Studies track we offer is for students who are goal-oriented and desire to receive in-depth ministerial training. If a student completes the required classes they will receive not only an excellent overview of their knowledge of the subject, but they will also receive a certificate of completion from Destiny Bible Institute.
Over the past 30 years there has been over ten part-time instructors. Currently, we have six active full and part-time instructors, and we are in the process of recruiting additional faculty. Over eighty students have graduated and received their certificate of completion.
